Oh... Divs fully explained here

Just incase anyone struggles as I did, you can have a div position to fixed as well as relative. Let's call this div, "div A" that way the divs that you have within your fixed div aka "div A" which you make absolute so they relate to "div a" which is relative.

Problem solved!...

Just a recap

Div a - position - fixed
           Position - relative

The divs that you want to be placed within that fixed div

Div b position - absolute
Div c position - absolute

Positioning in CSS isn't as easy as you think.

Well I've been teaching myself how to code through code academy, and I thought I had fully grasped HTML 5 and CSS 3, it wasn't until I was trying make a new website for my portfolio that I realised that when it came to positions being relative or absolute and things weren't going where I wanted that I realised I still didn't have a clue, and it's by far the most important part of knowing  CSS

For anyone else struggling to grasp the whole absolute positioning, relative positioning ect. Here's a link for a great tutorial

I start my internship in a couple of days and can't wait. Hopefully my website will be perfect by then and I can use it as my portfolio for my Uni applications.

Why I didn't buy the new iPhone

I'm currently at university and having an internet connection is important to me being a young adult in this social network era. Plus I have to do work from home a lot. Everyones internet at Uni is rubbish it cuts in and out is hella slow and therefore causes a lot of frustration.

I decided that I needed something more reliable or at least a back up connection! So I went with Three for my phone contract... giving me truly unlimited data that I can tether to my laptop or even xbox and get a decent connection for £31! This was 2 years ago, and with the iPhone 4S being a great device I happily signed on the dotted line.

2 years have passed its 2014 and the current iPhone is a joke. With the fingerprint scanner being horrendously more gimmicky than Siri, and a slow motion affect being the highlights of this new phone over the 5 I really wonder where Apple's future lies. The only thing of real note was the change to 64bit which allows the device to use more ram (random access memory) which in turn makes the device faster... I hope this is for something big on the 6 because there wasn't any real need for this to be added to the 5s.

Three have pushed the price up also making it not £31 pounds a month but now £41 pounds a month... an extra £240 pounds over the length of the contract. The only possible reason I could give for this happening is the introduction of 4G and now the customers are feeling the burn.

Plus my campus hasn't even got 4G yet, it would take another 5 months for me to take advantage of this. Right now the new iPhone really doesn't offer me a lot more than my current one. Who knows if tethering will work as well from an android device to mac or windows phone. which I was open to swapping to.

So I've decided to cut my losses and not be a mug and just go on a £18 monthly rolling contact giving me tethering abilities and if the 6 is worth it and I can take advantage of 4g or if this phone packs in... I can easily swap and start a new contract.

You're screwed without battery

I have spent the day in London signing up to the Agency Catch 22, currently unemployed, I really need to find work just to get out of the house and to earn money to either buy a new laptop or to save for when I go back to study at Uni. The good thing about London is that I can charge my phone/laptop in any Cafe and after waiting a very long time for a guy who looked like he was going to move another person suddenly did, by this point I can already bought a sandwich and drink but had just finished both which made me mildly annoyed... was it okay if I moved seat to charge my stuff without a drink by my side? I quickly got up and purchased a coffee I had now spent £9 pounds in this cafe for no real other reason than to charge my phone, which was running desperately low.

Problem solved now, I'm comfortable with using my phone as a personal hotspot *thank god 3* let you truly use unlimited data as otherwise my internet bills would be through the roof!

I always wondered why people blogged, was it something egotistical that their life had to be documented in some way, that their life events are really worth reading? Even though this day has been mundane I am finding it incredibly easy to type about it and I don't want this blog on my website to be a novelty but more something I stick to. My online Journal, will I get personal into my romantic life on here free for anyone to read, I don't know. What I do know is that for now I am enjoying it but I imagine as soon as I have a job and I'm tired I might not continue on, Who knows... Anyways I still have at least another half hour to kill and updating my blog seemed much more appealing and engaging than reading the King of the World (the story of Muhammad Ali).

Apparently someone plus one'd my last post but you aren't able to see who that was? easily accessibly at least this is frustrating. I would of like to have been able to see who it was... C'mon Google pull your socks up. To be honest this is a great free service they provide.

Back in Colchester

spent the day catching up with some good friends in colchester, when boredom surcame and we started to look for something interesting to do, CRIME!

we were in Castle Park bored on a Bench, as you can see here (in the shade as I have ginger skin and can't be out in the sun longer than 10 minutes without needing to move to avoid 3rd degree burns.)

so we saw the Castle was having renovation work to it, and one of my friends being a labourer knew what all the equipment was and saw a rolled up mat on the floor, with a little convincing and me ready to buy the necessary equipment we looked to do a DIY water slide.

We quickly rolled it out and got sliding and I managed to video Jake having a go. Good to be back in Colchester!
test for the blog.
